Chapter Officers

Breanna Lester

Chapter President

Hey, I'm Breanna. I'm am the Chapter President, which basically means I run meetings, do reports and make sure that all things run as smoothly as possible. I am originally from Clinchco, VA; there I graduated from Haysi High School. I am a Junior at ETSU, majoring in Elementary Education. My true aspirations are to run a Summer Camp for kids. Alpha Xi Delta came into my life at the absolute best time possible. When I first came to ETSU, I had a very hard time finding friends and getting involved in something. This was something that I wasn't accustomed to at all. It didn't matter where I turned, I couldn't find the right place to fulfill my needs. This was until I joined Alpha Xi; it gave me a place to learn, grow and shine. This is exactly what I needed in my life, not to mention all the wonderful sisters I've gained. Alpha Xi has really given me so much and I only hope that I can contribute to what my sisters and future sisters get out of Alpha Xi Delta. Alpha Xi Delta is the place that I've found helps me realize my true potential.

I am originally from Sevierville, Tennessee and I am obtaining a degree in Spanish with a minor in Communicative Disorders. After I graduate, I hope to become a Spanish professor at a University. I made the decision to join Alpha Xi Delta because I was looking for something to make my college experience more fun. Little did I know, the women I now call my sisters have changed my life in so many ways. I have become more independent, more confident, and a leader through my time in Alpha Xi Delta. Joining AXiD was the best decision I have ever made!

Strange I know, but surprisingly enough I have wanted to do that since I was around four years old! When I came to college, I I heard of Autism Speaks, and that is what really drew me to this chapter. The lifelong connections that I knew I would make with these girls was something I knew I wanted in my college and life experience. In Alpha Xi Delta, I am the Vice President of Programs. With this position, I oversee various chairs, or other positions, including Philanthropy (both Autism Speaks and community), Academics, New Member Orientation, Ritual, and Chaplain. As well as aiding with these positions I also plan programs for our chapter during meetings to help Realize Your Potential and bring in guest speakers to help with that!

Alexandria Sartain

Membership Vice President

My name is Alexandria Sartain. I am the Membership Vice President. In my position I am in charge of recruiting young women for the chapter of Alpha Xi Delta. I am from the town of Hillsboro located in Middle Tennessee. I went to Coffee County Central High School. I am currently majoring in biology and minoring in sociology. I desire to be a physician assistant working in the department of pediatrics. Coming to college from high school was a big change in my life. I went from being in eight clubs at my high school to two in college. I felt empty and alone from all the time I had after I had completed my studies and other organizational duties. I had heard about recruitment and just thought I wouldn't fit in with Greek life. I began to see my friends go through, and they were having the time of their lives finding their homes. I was still stuck alone in my room with a Netflix account, and no one to ask me how my day was. My friend in Alpha Xi Delta came to me one night and asked if I wanted to attend an event with her and some of her sisters. I said sure. I didn't have anyone else to be with and the time with others would definitely help the ease of being away from home and knowing no one else on campus. I entered the room and was suddenly surround with a warm, fuzzy feeling. I was having conversations with strangers like I had known them my whole life. I had an amazing time playing games, eating junk food, and laughing for once since moving to ETSU. I was really saddened when the night had to come to an end. I wish I could have stayed with them forever. I received a call the next day asking if I could meet the current Membership Vice President. I met her the next day and received a bid to the most amazing journey of my life, Alpha Xi Delta. Since joining the chapter, I have held 3 positions, laughed more than ever before, loved a lot more, and gained many valuable friendships that I know I will keep for a life time. Just to let you know, that warm, fuzzy feeling I felt that night walking into a room full of strangers is none other than the love and warmth my sisters give to me every day.

Ashley Ward

Financial Vice President

Wanting more, I chose to take a position as the financial Vice President. I do all the business work of the chapter such as a monthly report, handle checks and orders.
